About this pattern

Fair isle squirrels and leaves wrap all the way around these cozy mittens. They're worked in continuous rounds of split single crochet, so the colorwork lines up crisp and neat, with a chained gap left for the thumb and a ribbed cuff added last. One adult size in three colors of fingering weight yarn.

I love this pattern and how my mittens turned out. I used two colors for a more traditional look and I think they came out great. I used wool ease recycled and a 3.25mm hook.

I am obsessed with these mittens -- the perfect design and a gentle intro to fair isle crochet! I have small hands, so I made a number of modifications (3mm hook, plus shortening the top and the bottom parts of the pattern) in order to get it to work for my hands. I chose a light gray/white/slate blue color palette and it's really fabulous. They are my most beloved crochet creation. SO cute. Thanks for the great pattern and helpful video!

Beautiful pattern. Only just started, but I've used many patterns from this designer (esp fair isle style) and they are terrific. The video is extremely useful and the chart is very clear and easy to read.

The pattern is easily understandable, but you must be aware that if you are used to making Amigurumis, you will need to LOOSEN your tension a LOT for ssc :)

Briana is a crochet trailblazer. I follow her patterns in my neverending quest to crochet things that look knit! Only wish would be to maybe make these in a DK weight. I'm trying to figure out how to do it!
