What does the fox say? Probably that it wants to hang on your mantel. This stocking is festive, cute and a little bit woodland, and it's one I love pulling out every holiday season.
It's worked toe up, leaving space for the heel so you can work it last. The colorwork uses the split single crochet, also known as the waistcoat stitch, which gives the fox design a dense, knit look finish.

I learned a new technique with the split single crochet that makes a very warm and solid colorwork. Would be great for warm sweaters. Yarns used: City Tweed DK Snowbank 2 balls, Kenai Gloss DK 1 ball, Cranberry Gloss DK 1 ball.
